About Latitude 64
Latitude 64 is the original Swedish disc golf manufacturer, founded in 2005 by a group of passionate disc golfers including Tomas Ekström, David Berglund, and Johan Åström. Based in Skellefteå, Sweden—just below the Arctic Circle—they started with a goal to craft high-performance discs with precision molding and premium plastics.
When the Innova patent on beveled-edge discs expired, it opened the door for other companies—like Latitude 64—to enter the game in full force. And enter they did. American players quickly took notice of the unique plastic blends that felt grippier, smoother, and somehow glide-ier. Discs like the Saint and River didn’t just feel different—they flew farther (or at least looked prettier doing it), with those infamous high glide ratings.
In 2012, Latitude 64 teamed up with Dynamic Discs, taking over manufacturing for the Kansas-based brand. That partnership was a game-changer. With Dynamic Discs handling U.S. distribution and Latitude handling production, both brands boomed in popularity. Add Westside Discs to the mix, and the “Trilogy” was born—quickly becoming one of the most dominant forces in the disc golf market.
Latitude 64’s rise didn’t stop there. They were acquired by House of Discs, a growing parent company that now owns or manages several major disc golf brands. Today, Latitude 64 manufactures discs not just for themselves and Dynamic Discs, but also for Westside, Kastaplast, and even Discmania.
Now recognized as one of the top 4 disc golf manufacturers in the world, Latitude 64 sponsors some of the sport’s biggest stars—Kristin Tattar, the world’s top-ranked FPO player and multi-time world champion, and Isaac Robinson, the 2023 MPO World Champion.
From humble Swedish beginnings to global disc golf powerhouse, Latitude 64 is a brand that continues to shape the game—literally.
Latitude 64 Lightweight Discs
Latitude 64 has been ahead of the curve when it comes to lightweight discs—helping beginners, kids, seniors, and us mere mortals who throw like we just woke up from a nap. Their Easy-to-Use line was built so you don’t need a 450-foot cannon to enjoy the sport (or to feel good about yourself on the tee pad).
Here are some of the best lightweight options from Latitude 64:
Diamond – The original easy-to-throw icon. If you’re new to disc golf and want something that actually stays in the air longer than a pizza box, the Diamond is it. Great glide, minimal fade, and ultra-lightweight.
Jade – Like the Diamond’s slightly more confident older sibling. Still light, still beginner-friendly, just with a little more stability when you're starting to grow that noodle arm into a spaghetti cannon.
Pearl – A lightweight midrange so forgiving it could teach Sunday school. Perfect for youth players, true beginners, and anyone looking for smooth, gentle flights that don’t require a violent rip.
Fuse – Glide for days. Lightweight Fuses are magic for shaping lines and throwing straight, even if your form is still… let’s call it “a work in progress.”
River – This fairway driver has so much glide it practically levitates. Lightweight versions are excellent for long, controlled shots—even if you throw like you're wearing oven mitts.
Sapphire – The faster, flashier upgrade for Diamond fans. Lightweight and fast with plenty of turn and glide, it’s like the sportscar version of beginner drivers—without the monthly payments.
Latitude 64’s lightweight lineup makes disc golf more fun, more accessible, and less frustrating. Because let’s be honest—most of us aren’t trying to win Worlds... we’re just trying to keep it in bounds and beat our buddy by one stroke.
