Getting my wife into disc golf. This makes for a great beginning level to intermediate level disc.

I was looking for a disc that would come up and fly straight(ish) without using a lot of arm strength. This disc fit the part perfect. I agree with Fernando it is one of the furthest fliers at less than full strength. I took it out yesterday in some petty good winds and it handled it pretty well. I am beginning to understand disc geometry, flight ratings, and what I should look for for me. For instance, with my slow arm speed (timed with a calendar) I need something REALLY understable that translates to mildly understable at slower speeds. That works for me. That's exactly what I got with the Marlin. Off the tee it was good for about 180-200 of predictable flight, with a slight fade at the end. Out of the fairway it was a good gap hitter/finder. One feature I found most pleasant was the radius on the bottom of the rim. That's one part of disc golf that I really don't like, "disc" finger. You know when the disc scrapes the skin off your finger as it tears from your grip.. Yeah that part. Well it may have been happenstance, but the underside of the Marlin was just comfortable I found myself throwing it when I really needed to disc up or down. Then the price, c'mon at five bucks you could stock up for those rare instances where a disc is lost. Great for practice to have a couple of the same discs, not just putters. Buy this disc, buy a couple. You can't go wrong.

This disc is decent not great. Plastic feels nice until it gets wet then is slick. It doesn’t handle torque or wind at all. At this price point for this slot I’d much rather have a base plastic underworld.
