He Griffon is a good understable mid for beginners and as you progress it turns into a great hyzer flip for longer approach shots. It also dyes really well in the premium glow plastic.

This is an understable mid that is perfect for beginners. When I throw it, I have to really tone it down to get it to hold the anny line without burning into the ground. Personally, it won't help me out much since I'm more of an intermediate player- but for brand new players this disc is probably one of the best discs to throw. It's light weight and understability are perfect for slow arms.

It is really hard for one mid-range to stand above others when really, they're designed to do some very basic things-- get you across the shorter stretches of fairway with precision. I liked the Griffin for this-- it has a very slight fade, but not too much. It isn't too flippy or too overstable. It does come in a pretty light weight, so it is a good option for beginners who want a mid-range to go around objects, but that isn't too hard to throw.
