Overstable floppy approach disc

The golem does some things very well. When thrown normally (BH or FH), it flies pretty straight before a reliable and predictable fade. When it hits the ground, the floppiness helps it stick very close to the impact point instead of skipping or rolling. So for those purposes, it's very good, and the UV fade on my disc is pretty cool. Haven't tried it for scoobers, but I expect it would perform well for those too.

On the other hand, I've tried it for overhand shots (thumbers and tomahawks), and the problem there is that if it hits on edge, it deforms, springs back, and then can roll a long ways. Firm discs usually stick when they hit hard on edge, this disc does not do that in my experience. The only other negative is that the disc is a bit of a dust and dirt magnet - stuff sticks to it, and unless you want a dirty bag, you'll have to wipe it unless it lands in grass or on a firm packed surface.

FWIW, first time out with it I buried a 65 foot hyzer putt, confident that if I missed the basket, I'd leave myself a tap-in instead of a 20 footer after it skipped. That's where this disc really shines, you can 'run it' and lay up at the same time. Quite a weapon if used within its limits.
